Driven to Distraction

Nice to see I’m not the only one who’s learning to drive rather later in life than the norm.

Cause

Cheer up! It’s for a good cause!

Fuck Off.

Cunning Stunts

Ah ‘good’ it’s Comic Relief day (or Red Nose Day). A day where people can act like complete twunts, and all in the name of “charity”.

Bah, fuckin’ humbug.

I wrote about this a long time ago, although that was more in regard to Children in Need than to RND. But all the same, it’s the type of charity event I’m deeply anti.

So no, D4D™ won’t be going red today. (well, unless you use the red colour scheme) I did think about it, and it’d be an easy fix. If you want to do something for RND then great, go for it.

Oh, and bear in mind that in Spain it’s a national day of mourning to mark the anniversary of the train bombs there one year ago.

Accessories

I’m sure that it’s been linked to everywhere else already, but I do have to say that I think this is one of the best knife-racks I’ve ever seen.

Want, want, want.

Comic Relief Memery

Mike at Troubled Diva is doing a Red Nose Day blogparty soundtrack.

Imagine, if you will, the blogmeet to end all blogmeets. One blogosphere under a groove. A sea – nay, a veritable ocean – of “LOVE your work!” hugs, “Darling, you were ROBBED at The Bloggies!” air-kisses and “WHEN is someone going to PUBLISH you!” schmoozes, where tout le monde and their blogroll are getting royally rat-arsed on Vodka Red Bulls, and bopping around like maniacs to the sound of… WHAT, precisely?

My own suggestion would be something to just make me smile – “Voodoo Ray” by Acid Brass. Perfection…

NIN – again

Thanks to Tom for pointing out that Nine Inch Nails had added more dates to their tour in the UK. I’ve managed to get one ticket for the final date of the tour, and now it’s all sold out again. That’s now nine UK dates, completely sold out. I wonder if they’ll add more?

Postcard

Dear Lyle,

I’m sorry to be away today, but I really needed a break. The work stuff was really getting me down – there’s only so many SELECT statements and INNER JOINs that you can look at without needing a major break. As for that guff about the house you had in Manchester, and the landlord being an utter cunt, well I needed a break from that too.

In short while I think that moving was a bloody good idea, and the domestic side is working out really well, the job you’ve got is a shitbag at the moment, and we all need to step back and look at it properly. So that’s what I’m doing today. From bed. See you when you get home. Wish you were here.

Sincerely,

Your Will to Live.
