Charity Work
Posted: Sun 20 March, 2005 Filed under: General 1 Comment »Yes, it’s “all for charidee, mate!”. Over the weekend I’ve been working more on organising fun stuff like balloon races for the charity I do some work with. I’m getting more involved in the fund-raising side, as well as the publicity and website bits I already do, and it’s pretty interesting.
This is all stuff I’ve not really been involved in before, so it’s fun, and makes for some interesting challenges. I’m thinking that I may even start doing a website (and/or a business sideline) in advice on these things for other people as I’m having the devil’s own job getting relevant information so far.
Still, all fun and games. And I’m sure I’ll write more about the various ideas and challenges as I go on with the process.
Ideal Home

No idea what to expect – open mind, booted feet, ready for most things.

Of course, those links will mean shit-all if you click it anytime after today, so I may edit it later, or include a quick screendump. But I may not. We’ll see.
Upcoming Fun
Posted: Tue 15 March, 2005 Filed under: General 1 Comment »Over the weekend, I attended a committee meeting for one of the charities I work for, and oh dear lord it looks like we’re going to be busy over the next few months. However, some of it’s definitely going to be fun at the same time as being hectic.
One instance of this is that we’re going to be organising a balloon race for the start of June. I’ve never done one before, but we’re already finding out prices, comparing balloons, and looking at what we’ll need to do in order to make it a success.
For me though, along with all this, there’s one word that just brings a smile to my face in anticipation.
Helium.
And lots of it.
