For 48 hours starting on the 5th November – pretty much their busiest day of the year. Way to go.
Even more impressive, Diwali this year also falls on November 5th, so that’s going to concentrate the fireworks and so on into one weekend. And the firemen will be on strike.
Genius.
Fantastic. What a responsible lot the fire brigade are.
Mr BW reckons that Goldfish scrapped the Green Goddesses (I don’t recall that, and I’ve not Googled to check).
But, they’ll be laughing on the other side of their faces when their nice fat local government pensions are statutorily scrapped so they can no longer retire at 50…
People who work in the public sector have no idea what the private sector/self-employed sector is like. I shall delight in watching them find out over the next few years.
