Return of Psycho Cat

While we were away, we had someone else looking after House, Psycho Cat and Chickens. She brought her own dog and Psycho Cat hated it, so it turned out that Psycho Cat stayed over at one of our neighbours.

It’s been one of the things about the road we now live in, that all the houses seem to be some kind of dormitory for cats – we regularly have visits from the neighbour’s cats, and Psycho Cat goes round there. In the run of eight houses I think there’s four that have cats, and they all seem to get on OK. (There’s at least one feral bastard around who tries to impose himself too, but in general that hasn’t been successful) So while we were away Psycho Cat has been at the neighbour’s place, and hasn’t been seen at home at all.

I went round to the neighbour’s place yesterday to let them know we’re back, and that it was fine to throw him out.

He’s returned today and is deeply deeply pissed off. He’s checking around the house to see if the other dog’s around, and generally making more noise than is usual, even for Psycho Cat. Hopefully he’ll have calmed down a bit by tonight.
