Way too organised

Following on from a couple of conversations with Herself over the weekend about stuff for next year, I’ve just ordered her main pressie for the Festering Season™. This is notable because it’s far more organised than I usually am.
Now OK, I’ve at least waited ’til after my birthday to do this, but it’s all a bit of a surprise, seeing that I normally don’t even start getting organised for the Festering Season™ before December. At the same time, this week we’ll also complete the pre-order stuff for the Christmas Day lunch, and can get that all delivered and sorted.
All in all, it’s just a bit of a shock to the system…
know what you mean iam already getting pressents and stuff sorted, and going to start wrting cards out this weekend in readyness for posting 1st week of december, then the 2 weeks ive got off over crimbo i can just chill and not have to rush around the shops and get everything done in the last few days before crimbo like i normaly do
I never thought *you* would succumb Lyle 😉
It’s not so much “succumbing” as understanding that while I’m not bothered by the Festering Season (by which I mean I couldn’t give a chuff, not that it doesn’t bother me at all) other people do give a chuff, and will be mightily narked ‘pon a paucity of presents on That Day…
Still, it’s very green, and is rather groovy. So I’m still not succumbing to the major dollop of materialism and useless frivolous crap. Bah, Humbug indeed. 🙂
