Grey

In line with the post over the weekend about getting older, there’s one other crystal-clear sign of that for me.

My hair is going grey. Not just a little, but now quite a lot.

I don’t mind, actually – it’s not something I worry about. Although when the grey eyebrow hairs appear, do tend to get rid of them. In the great scheme of things it’s a pretty minor vanity. I also tend to not let stubble grow too much now, as there’s significant levels of grey there too.

It’s never been unexpected though – my mum went grey very early (some less kind souls would point out that it was probably due to having me) and was pretty much totally grey by 35-40, so it’s no shock to see myself heading in a similar direction.

All the same though, well, I’m going grey

Increased percentage grey hair = More distinguished appearance.

    Imho.

    Yeah Matt… but..

I’m rapidly balding (both sides of family have this, and I have inherited it from my mother’s side which is more “monk-like), and my goatee shows more signs of grey than anywhere else (yes ANYWHERE else).

So not THAT distinguished I’m afraid.

Of course I really don’t give a shit but as it was being discussed…

I find the best way to hide it is to have it cut really close at the back and sides with loads of gel up top!!
