Graffiti

Seen on the M4 last night :

A rental van from Hertz in front of us, with the graffiti on the back saying “My Knob” above the Hertz logo.

Very childish, but not one I’d seen before. And didn’t have a camera to do it justice. Gah.

Certainly appeals to my childish sense of humour!

Puts me in mind of “Big Dave’s Gusset” which can be seen on a wall between London Bridge and Waterloo East stations.

I am Dave of the Big Daves Gusset fame. I worked on the Jubilee Line Extension for 3 years and my office was adjacent to this wall visible from the Southwark St overbridge. My colleague Jason Gregory painted the slogan after one too many glimpses of my Y-Front style underpants at shift change. There you go! I am alive! Big Dave.

From when I was at university in Reading I remember two equally enigmatic pieces of graffiti – one – ‘groove on groovy crew’ – which has a nice assonance to it, and the other – ‘Evil Joe is worthy’. I think it was Joe not Jo but eiter way
