Generation Terrorists
Posted: Fri 21 July, 2006 Filed under: News, Thoughts 2 Comments »Why is it that so many countries – and in this case I’m referring to Israel, but it’s hardly a one-off – don’t realise that evicting people from their homes, citys, and homeland isn’t going to make them think “Oh, that’s OK then – at least we’re safe”, but is instead going to make these moved-on, homeless people think “Fucking Israel. They’ve kicked us out of our homes, our cities, our country. Fucking bastards”.
In short, aren’t they just creating the next generation of Hizbollah members, of anti-Israel fanatics, and of building up another generation of hatred in the area ?
Ooooooh Lyle, very hot potato that one. I personally agree with the viewpoint that the UN takes, why is Hizbollah still in existance and why was it allowed to become so outwardly agressive to Israel? I mean, setting up watchtowers and actually snatching troops is an act of war, against which the Isaeli’s have acted ….. if Lebanon had been allowed to continue to absorb Hezbollah and remove a terrorist organisation then this wouldn’t have happened. As it is, other acts outside the control of the Lebanese have conspired to create a situation they can do nothing about …..innocent victims YES, but if you were in the Iraeli’s shoes, would you sit back and let a semi professional army build up on your border, snatching troops and firing rockets at you??????? I don’t know the answer but to be fair i can’t see what else Irael could do, you can’t talk to people like Hezbollah.
Mind, to add to that last comment, theres a whole lot of history that goes with this and the Palestinian conflict, not all of it is taken into account …… shame it’s all kicked off, I was looking seriously Lebanon for a holiday, it’s meant to be damn nice ….. well it was!
