Successful?

Well, it looks like the interview on Monday was fairly successful. Thank God.

The feedback (that finally came yesterday) was that everything had gone fine, that I’d impressed the interviewer (God knows how) and that the only stumbling block is that bloody JSP (Java Server Pages) stuff. So what they’re likely to do (and it won’t be confirmed ’til next week, once the guy’s back from Spain) is give me a developer job first – which’ll still pay more than I’m on here – and make sure I get trained hard in JSP stuff, so that I can look at doing the Lead developer role ASAP.

Which sounds pretty cool to me.

And yes, if it does get offered, you can be sure I’ll be taking it. Even if it does mean working in Slough… *shudder*

On an HTML note, when you wrote “JSP (Java Server Pages)”, that would have been a perfect candidate opportunity for use of the abbr tag.

It would, except I’ve found over time that a lot of people never do the hover-over thing with the ABBR tag, and so I just get asked “what the fuck is a JSP” (or whatever) .

So, while it would’ve worked fine, it was actually easier to define it in the post, rather than sodding about. I’m crap like that. *grin*

    Good news then, excellent.

I worked in Langley. Slough at least has food. And it’s close enough to nice places that it’s doable.
