What’s the point of going away for a break when you know everyone else will be doing the same thing? Maybe I’m weird, but I just don’t see anything “relaxing” about going and queueing in airports or traffic jams in order to travel to somewhere that, when you get there, will also be absolutely rigid with people alld oing the same thing.
Oh, and let’s not forget, paying a buttload more for going away this weekend instead of another one. It all just makes me doubt sanity – mainly everyone elses, but also my own, for not wanting the same as what “most other” people seem to…

I think you’ll find it’s those people who are with child… holidays are arranged around the school schedules.
Other than that? Nutters the lot of them!
Yup, it’s definitely the kids’ fault.
Nearly fainted this year when we discovered how much it would cost to take us and the two boys away this summer, compared to previous trips in early September. Decided to skip a holiday this year. There’s a lot of advantages to have school age children, holidays is not one of them…
