What upped the anté a bit was that it also seriously affected my vision. I ended up with a moiré pattern (like the pattern you see on TV when someone’s wearing a jacket with a small check pattern on it) around the edges, and a blank spot in the middle like you get from looking at a bright light then looking away.
All told, it really wasn’t much fun, but paracetamol took the edge off it, and I managed to get through the day, although I felt pretty rough by the end of it.
Turns out, having spoken to a couple of other people, it may have been the start of a migraine. I’ve never had one before, so I don’t know for sure, and I don’t want to be “classic bloke” who says a cold is flu, a flu is typhoid (whatever) and a headache is always a migraine. That’s not my style at all – but all the same, this one has me wondering whether it might’ve been the start of something new. And I’ll certainly keep an eye on it – if I get any/many more it may even be time to stop by the doctors for a check-up…
As they say, welcome to the club!
Migraine. Had a couple myself, they are hell. My only respite is to lie in a quiet dark room, and try and sleep it off without moving. Knocks me out for the day.
Sounds like what I get about once a year. I take Migroleave red and it goes away. It’s still a migraine even when it doesn’t have the devastating effect that happens for some people. When did you last have your sight tested?
January/February time. (I could look back through d4d™, but right now just can’t be arsed)
