Anti-Spam
Posted: Fri 3 February, 2006 Filed under: D4D™ 5 Comments »Having just gone through my list of comments marked as spam by SK2, it looks like it’s beginning to get a bit over-zealous. So I’ve taken out about five (admittedly, five from the 430 on the list) and restored them to their proper positions. I’ll keep an eye on this over the next few weeks, I think.
Who knows, it might even be time to upgrade to WP2.0. It’s just not a concept that fills me with glee right now.
In the meantime, sorry Pix, Rob, Tom, and the others whose comments had disappeared.
WordPress recently release 2.0.1, a month after 2.0. I would be tempted to wait for another month, and if 2.0.2 isn’t out by then, it’s probably safe to upgrade.
I did wonder how long it’d take you to find and approve the comment. 🙂
my wp 2 upgrade went pretty seamlessly.
Not too long, Pix. And even less time to find that one, which SK has also flagged as spam. I’m beginning to wonder if it just doesn’t like gmail…
Given the number of bugs fixed I’d imagine the next version of WP to be a bit further out in the schedule. A lot of the 2.0.1 stuff was largely down to the fact they re-coded a lot of the backend… almost a new product I guess so it was good to see such a quick turnaround.
Guess I’d better upgrade at some point too… might try it tomorrow Lyle if you wanna hold off (although you seem to have more ‘custom’ stuff in your setup than I do)
