Not Dead (Again)
Posted: Tue 21 July, 2009 Filed under: D4D™, Domestic 1 Comment »Over the weekend, we had a couple of dead days on D4D™ – something which I’ve noticed/realised has been happening quite a bit over the last few months.
I don’t know exactly why – I used to be really good at writing here at least daily, and generally I’m still pretty good at it, but for whatever reason, weekends just seem to mean I’m not updating as much as usual.
Of course that could be because we’re pretty busy over the weekend, along with the fact that after a week, I’m generally fairly naffed off with computers come the weekend. But still, it used to be that I made time for D4D™, whereas now D4D™ has to make time for me. Who knows, maybe that’s even a sign I’m growing up, or something.
Still, it could be worse – I could be not writing stuff here during the week, too.
I’m noticing a tailing off in my own blogging and I think it’s a fairly natural process. I’m less inclined to share as much personal “stuff” these days which limits content plus I don’t feel the need anymore.
Totally relate to your sentence “it used to be that I made time for D4D™, whereas now D4D™ has to make time for me” – I feel exactly the same.
I do wonder whether it’s partly me “growing up” (35 years old, it’s about bloody time if it is) and not feeling the need for outside approval or dialogue about my life any more
(or at least not quite as much!).
Either that or I write far too much on Twitter and forums and use up all my words and indignation on them instead 😉
