Delayed

I left home at 7am, and finally arrived in the office just before 10am, on a journey that normally takes an hour door-to-door.
Suffice it to say that my brain is more than a little bit frazzled today…
How one can travel the wrong way down the A14 puzzles me. Even *if* one *somehow* manages to get onto the incorrect carriageway, how dim does one have to be not to immediately realise and pull over?
Depends how determined one is to die, I suppose.
The closest point that [Mr X] could have got on to to the A14 on the wrong carriageway was about 6-7 miles (I’ll measure it tomorrow) from the accident.
I find it hard to believe that anyone could mistakenly drive that far on a dual carriageway – at 6am on a weekday – without realising and turning round.
But maybe I’m a cynic, I dunno. I just find it hard to believe as anything other than an intentional act.
