Posted: Thu 19 October, 2006 Filed under: Geeky 1 Comment »Yes, Microsoft has finally released Internet Explorer v7 for download. It’s been around for a while as a Beta release (and is installed on my work PC by default) but it’s live at last.
Now I can see what’s confirmed as being broken (and/or fixed), instead of just suspecting…
UPDATED : Be warned, it involves a restart, and takes about ten minutes to do the entire install – and that’s on a fairly decent laptop. Not a quick update (which was obvious, but all the same – it’s a bit of a job!)
I’m assuming you’re aware of this already but for the benefit of everyone else, standalone earlier versions of IE are available here. Invaluable for developers if you either already have 7 installed or for when it gets downloaded as a critical update (which will be happening soon).
