Eggs and Baskets

Well, I’ve now withdrawn my application for the other job I was supposed to be interviewing for on Monday. I don’t yet know how they’ll take it, nor whether this will turn out to be one of my less good decisions. But at the same time, well, it feels like the right thing to do.

There is another one I’ve just applied for, but that’s because it’s perfect, regardless of what we end up doing, or where we end up living. I’m not going to say much more about it right now, as I want to get more information first, but on initial sight, it’s – well – perfect.

As for the one I’ve just stepped down from, there was just something that didn’t ring right to it. I’m not entirely trusting of a company that refuses to discuss pay structures, and when they also say that I’d be spending a lot of my time on-site with clients, establishing what they wanted from a site, taking comprehensive notes, and then going away to develop it – well yeah, it sounds OK, but it also sounds very sales-based, and that’s just not something I’m overly interested in.

So *shrug* , we’ll see.
