Cleaning Up

The main part of it (well, for me, anyway) was getting rid of a lot of the assembled crap and junk that builds up over time in a house. Things like that stuff in the garage, the double-bed I brought down from Manchester, (we junked one when I moved, the other one had been used in the spare bedroom ’til we made it into an office) a box of video- and audio-tapes, assorted techie crap (old keyboards, cables, mice, webcams, all kinds of shit really) as well as old kitchen equipment, lamps and the like.
In the end I did four trips on Saturday to the local dump, and one on Sunday as well. So yeah, loads of crap.
And then we also got rid of about five boxes of stuff this morning to one of the local charity shops. Not for the first time this year, I hasten to add. We must be one of their best suppliers.
Worryingly though, this does not mean the house is empty, or anywhere near. It’s just got slightly less crap in it. Still, better to do it now, rather than pay for moving it all and then chucking it out…
