Water Shortages

Which supplier/provider can charge you for their product, and then tell you not to use it?
Only one utility provider can do such a thing. How do we let them get away with it? It’s not like we’re going to get a discount for not being able to use the stuff any way we want, is it?
Unless, of course, you’ve got a water meter.
But even then you’re paying for the service, and then being told you can’t use what you’ve bought for certain purposes.
Yes, OK, you pay less – but you don’t get charged less because that provided item has restricted use, do you?
Yet again, in a country surrounded by water, with a relatively temperate climate – no massive periods of drought – there are restrictions placed.
If this was a really hot country, we’d be stuffed. Or dead.
