Business Banking

I’ve used Royal Bank of Scotland before, and they were OK (well, once they’d got rid of the useless twunt who first dealt with the account, and took three months to get it set up properly) but I’d rather not use them again. In fact I’m thinking of migrating from RBoS anyway, as the branches are a bit sparse Dahn Sarf.
So – any recommendations?
Barclays. My man has been ultra helpful. I used to work for part of RBoS, but when I wanted to set my business up they were hopeless.
I have a personal account with them still, but the ony reason I keep that open is inertia.
Barclays – if you can find a good relationship manager. Which come to think of it is something I need on so many levels!
Well if you want to talk to someone in the UK Natwest reckon they dont do call centres in India and that you can dial your branch (well eventually through a call centre). More than flippin’ useless HSBC.
My only reservation with TwatWest is that they’re now the same company as RBos (whereas Halifax are now conjoined with the normal Bank of Scotland) so I’m unconvinced about how good/bad they are.
Although RBoS have actually been pretty good with regard to my personal account, the business banking side were a complete cunch of bunts. But that could be just problems at branch-level, rather than the entire organisation.
Mind you, to my mind all banks are tossers- it’s just the degrees of tosserdom that vary (slightly)
Abbey are good for some things and incredibly bad at others. Overall 4-5 out of 10!
NatWest are good for business banking. Their Businessline service is very good..the advisors are very helpful, even though they are based in a call centre. Beware! The branch staff do not know anything about business banking-do everything through Businessline!
