Organised?
Posted: Sun 15 January, 2006 Filed under: D4D™, Domestic, Getting Organised, Thoughts 2 Comments »So yes, this year I’m aiming to get myself more organised. In theory it shouldn’t be hard to improve on my current organisational status, which kind of relies on “Oh yeah, must remember to do that sometime soon”. Which, when you get down to it, really isn’t all the organised at all.
I know I should write “to-do” lists, have plans, have filing cabinets, and ordered places for things, but I just never get round to it. Item one on any to-do list would be “write to-do lists”. Again, hardly ideal.
I’ve even slacked off a bit with D4D™ of late – I seem to have a particular problem with writing stuff on weekends. No good reason really, just that normal domestic life sometimes means that spending time online writing stuff doesn’t happen. No bad thing in a lot of ways – hell, it does sort of signify some kind of life away from technology, if nothing else! – but in others it annoys me that I’ve begun missing days. Something else that needs to be addressed, I suppose.
So anyway, I’ve got to get myself more organised. It’s something I want to do, I just don’t quite know how to go about it. And, of course, “getting organised” is quite a big thing, probably worthy of a to-do list all of its own.
I know it needs to happen, and I need to start working on it. Just bear with me while it happens. I’ll get there, I know that – it’s about bloody time, after all – but the first bit of 2006 is likely to be a bit sporadic while it all comes together.
You’re not the only one!
I also have that “missing days” syndrome – particularly weekends – but then, I get distracted at the weekends, what with Kirsty being at home and all that…
Been there done that, had a problem, couldnt be arsed fixing it, I haven’t gotthe time to spend on my site or my blog anymore, well not till this academic yr is over.
