Slip Sliding Away

One annoying thing that’s a result of the gentrification of town centres is this :

Lots of town pavements over the years have been replaced with nice-looking brick, or stone slabs. In summer, and in general, these pavements look really nice, and are perfectly functional as walkways. Which is all as it should be.

However, come winter, it either rains, or dew/condensation happens, and they get wet. And then they freeze. At which point the entire town’s paths become nothing more or less than one big ice-rink. Funny as hell to watch other people trying to walk on it. Not so funny when you’re the one trying to do the walking…
