The Resignation

Well, I delayed writing this bit because, to be honest, I was a bit in shock at the way CrapCo handled my resignation. Not because it was bad, but because it was actually quite decent.

Twunty Manager™ said he was slightly surprised I was going, but he’d wondered if I was actually happy with CrapCo. (I liked this, as about the only thing I hadn’t done to illustrate my lack of enchantment with CrapCo was called him a fuckwit cunt to his face) All the same, he handled it pretty well, and because of the new job I’ve got, they’ve agreed that it’s not worth me doing the full month’s notice in a job I’m not happy with, so I can start at the new place on the 21st. Two weeks notice instead of four. I can live with that.

Even better, I’m still away for one week of that – so yeah, one week left of work with CrapCo. I can live with that! I’m still going to push for a proper exit interview and so on, but quite honestly I’m not overly convinced it’ll happen. CrapCo don’t really seem to want to know what their problems are.

Still, not really my problem any more. But I know that the outflow of staff is still going to continue, as one of the other developers has just been given an interview through one of the agencies I was working with…
