Posted: Thu 21 April, 2005 Filed under: D4D™ 6 Comments »Next week I’m going to be away – and nowhere near a PC with any luck. We’ll be at Center Parcs from Monday to Friday. Very little idea what to expect, as I’ve never been to one before, but hey, it should be fun.
So – the camera will be going with me, as will a laptop to store images on, and perhaps do a bit of letter-writing and the like.
There will be updates to D4D™, but I’m writing them over the next couple of days, and then post-dating them in the database. See, I knew WordPress had some uses over Movable Type…
Anyway, that’s just a bit of an advanced warning for you all – next week will be quiet chez D4D™. Not dead, but definitely in repose.
Center Parcs! I went there as a kid. As I recall, I spent four days straight in the swimming pool, going down the rapids.
Centre Parcs is *ace* – I went there when I was a bored teenager, a blessed holiday sans Big Brother, and I still remember sneaking off at night on my bike to find a quiet bit of the forest to have a smoke. Magical stuff.
Obligitory MT-defending comment: MT can do dynamic publishing as well as static, and you can get posts to appear in the future.

Is that the place just up the road from me?
I did the same when we went away in January. Lined up four or five posts. Was funny reading comments with people suspecting me from blogging from the beach (which, even in January in southern Spain, is for the brave or foolhardy)
Yeah, MT can do it, but it’s a huge faff and not standard.
