Misnomer

Out of interest, when did a fourteen year-old leaving home with a boyfriend/partner/whatever go from “running away” to “abduction”?

I can understand a charge of “abduction” if the person has been removed unwillingly, but from the way the story is worded, that’s not the case here. No ransom’s been asked for, nothing like that.

So – runaway or abduction? Which is it? And when did one become the other?

Nope – or if you did, it didn’t make it as far as being submitted…

I did write a reply, but it must have got lost………….or not posted properly, so hmmmmm. Well it’s a subject I feelstrongly about…but unlike normal I shall not rant. Lets just say, ……..adults wonder why kids think they are wankers. Obviously we all mature at 16 and become instantaneously social, law abiding adults. One rule fits fuck all syndrome.

Hmmm. Parents threatening the boyfriend of their hormonally in love teenager with jail probably isn’t the best way to inspire your child to come home methinks, not sure of the logic on that one, especially as it is blatently obvious that they do not approve which is why they did a runner in the first place. Oh the warped controlling logic of parents, mind you, glad i’m not one!!!!!
