Co-proxamol

Interesting to see today that the painkiller co-proxamol is to be scrapped. Apparently it’s been linked with up to 400 deaths per year and a study found it was the second biggest method of drug-related suicide in the UK, accounting for almost one in five deaths.

I’ve used co-proxamol before, and I can see why it’s easy to overdose on, either intentionally or accidentally. It’s a seriously heavy gun in the world of painkillers, and while it’s sad to see something so effective be withdrawn from the market, I can understand the reasons why it’s necessary to do so.

I am going to try and purchase from Offshore, by Bank transfer. They have just sent me their Banking details and have said they would add to the quantity to make up for transfer fees.
My Bank claim to do an Intertational transfer to anywhere no matter what the item is. I will keep you posted. Thank you to Dorothy for that info on Western Union.

  2. Andrea says:

    Hi Guys
    How is everyone?
    Anyone having any luck yet?
I’m disappointed P2U aren’t back yet 🙁 I was really hoping they would get up and running this week as suggested.
Anne, as you have been in touch with them, are they suggesting that they do intend to come back?
    Chris, hope you are well.

  3. Anne Tay says:

Hi Andrea …they have no idea ,could be next week or the week after ,,Chris what offshore Pharma do you use ?.. so it works out £39 50 per 100 taking into accont the free box ,to cover for Western union charges ..oh oh dear

  4. pill popper says:

Thanks Lyle for correcting my D4D name and details

  5. Anne Tay says:

Chris i got in touch with Western union ,they want £27 from me for a transaction ,you said £16,,is that because i live in the mountains in the far frozen north ?lol ..Pharma told me that if i ordered today they would dispense tomorrow ..in the mean time i pay them through Western union ..has anyone else had this promise….

  6. Chris says:

Hi Anne and Andrea. I am referring to Offshore-Pharma.com, For the Western Union fees i only did a test on the WU site, dollar transaction to Panama for an amount of $65.
I think i did mention you might get a quote from them, lol. I have not sorted anything out withP2u at the moment. Anyway i will try for a Bank transfer, my bank quote £14 but if Offshore put in extras it might be ok.

  7. Anne Tay says:

Jess im afraid gave out the wrong information .oh ..where is jane ?it now seems that Pharma2u have phased out boxes of 100 tablets ,they will now be supplied in boxes of 20 hense the reason for the minimum of 5 boxes per order ,the price of 100 tabs will be £45,but since pharma now ask for payment via Western union who charge up to £27 transfer ,pharma say they will give an extra box of 20 tabs ,so if you order 100 tabs you get 120 tabs at a cost of £45 plus western union fee .just for info i asked for a quote for an order of 500 tabs ,and was quoted £225 plus western union fees of £27 ,making a total of £252 so it works out at 50 pence a tablet …

  8. Selina says:

Dorothy i’m sorry was slow emailing but as a sufferer of cluster headaches and endomitriosis they are the only painkiller I can take I know what it’s like suffering and not being able to have co -proxamol so would NEVER take enjoyment in seeing someone else go through what I go through. I had some stuff to do. Guy’s hope your ok

  9. Chris says:

My own Bank will do Money transfer to Offshore-Pharma, but for a transaction involving $65 this would cost a £10 fee, and an intermediary fee with the conversion approx $20. Not good for a small transaction. Its a shame they don’t do Paypal.

  10. Avril says:

    Hi Anne,

I’ve had Distalgesic Phadisco from P2U – it is what I’m taking just now. (It came from Cyprus).

Previous orders from Offshore came from Pakistan and all had writing in (Punjabii?) and another language on back but also said Distalgesic (Co-proxamol) and a description in English.

All have kept me up and running (in spite of the MHRA’s claim that anything one buys on the internet will damage you at best or be a fake!). I don’t know what I’ll do when this latest lot has gone – I am allergic to Codeine, can’t take NSAids or Tramodol.

Russ – hope you are keeping out of hospital. I’ve come across your letters in various sites including Pulse (the GPs own online mag) – you are doing a lot of good work for us. let me know if anything I can do to help.

Hope you are all managing to find some pain relief.

    Best Regards,
    Avril

  25. Chris says:

Hi Anne, I still cannot access this site . If the payment option is paypal i think you have to have a paypal account, someone can correct me on this if i am wrong. I have a paypal account which i use for ebay and to set up was a long winded affair, might be easier now.

  26. Anne Tay says:

Oh Chris ..i cant be doing with long winded affairs..there must be another way ,it takes me all my time to work a comp …god knows why they let me work in an operating theatre …lol .my daughter told me to go thru Modzilla firefox [search engine ] that got me there

  27. Anne Tay says:

    Glad you got there Andrea…..

  28. Chris says:

Anne, If they only use paypal and you want to buy from them i think you will have to set up an account, i have just had a look on the paypal site and it does not seem to bad to sort out. I did it a few years ago and i don’t have any O levels, only a spirit level. I use Firefox as my browser so you would think i would have some luck. Chris.

  29. Anne Tay says:

try typing in http://www.medica2u.com thats how i got it …good luck Chris by the time we get all this done …they will have sold out ,lol lo

  30. Chris says:

  31. Andrea says:

  34. Chris says:

Hi Anne, Andrea. It looks like you have to login now before you can access the site and for the ordering process. If you have paid through paypal Andrea i think you should be ok, Medica will receive this info from paypal. Strange name but this sort of thing has happened to me before and everything turned out to be ok.

  35. Anne Tay says:

Hi Andrea both sites are still up …at the moment …

  36. Andrea says:

    Hey Anne, Chris

Thank You for your info 🙂
Lets hope this all sorts it’s self out VERY soon?! :/…..lol!
Hope you are both well. 🙂

  37. Roge says:

As a previous customer of pharma2u.com i have been following the comments for two months. I also received the email noting the change in name and that payments would be directed via kickshaw trading.com (a trading company in cyprus that sells everything but pharmaceuticals) with only papal payments at present. I tried however to email their contact information at admin@kickshawtrading.com for confirmation of this arrangement but my email was not accepted, in fact the host server said it did not like the recipient!! So i too do not know what is going on and if it is safe to order. Hope this info will be of assistance. It will be interesting to hear if anyone who has ordered on this basis receives the items.

  38. Andrea says:

    Hey Guys 🙂
What on Earth is going on with P2U/Medica2U whatever now?!?!
As you will probably be able to tell, I am getting rather ticked off with this whole carry on with them?!?
I already have 3 unanswered emails from March……..As I said in my last post, I ordered from Medica2U on Thursday 16th, received confirmation of payment from paypal but no confirmation of order from Medica2U?!
I checked “My Account” on Saturday and my order is indeed there and states “paid”
I emailed then to ask for order confirmation but surprise, surprise……No Answer?!
I did receive one reply last week (3 weeks after my enquiry) from a Jesselyn saying they were having problems with payments but I could order by email and to call them to arrange this?!
I went on to their site now but it won’t even let me on the darn site anymore!! Grrrrr!
I did get on last week but had to provide username and password which was fine but today I just have a blank white screen with a little pop up box asking for username and password before I can even access the site. I entered my username and password that I used on P2U which did work last week on Medica2U but it doesn’t work anymore?!?
This is driving me crazy to say the least!
    Anyone have any info?
    Thank You
    Sorry about the rant :/

  39. Chris says:

Hi Andrea, I don’t have any more info on this site only that i logged on just now with no problem. I am reluctant to order from them at the moment until i hear something positive. Even the drugbuyers freeboard has gone quiet.
You are right to have a rant, no replys is out of order, i would be bombarding them with the same e-mail every day. I hope you get some news soon.

  40. hayho says:

pharma 2u have been busted by the cops check the press 1 male 1 female arrested drugs seized

  41. Andrea says:

    Chris
I am emailing them again. Do you have a different email, now that they’re Medica?
Or is it still the same email address?
    I still can’t access the site. 🙁
    Thank You

  42. Russ McLean says:

    #390

    Partially correct. No charges yet.

The ones who should be in the frame, arrested and charged are the negligent doctors at the MHRA who have left up to 70,000 or the original 1,500,000 Coproxamol patients to live and die in untreated pain.

This story isn’t over by a long way.

The guys at medica2u appear to be doing their best. Would you do their job? Meanwhile Breckenridge and Co at the MHRA, should be stripped of his knighthood, struck off of the GMC medical register, and if the MHRA continue to stonewall the fact that their “Named Patient” promise has been completely exposed and discredited, it will be MHRA officials responsible for this disaster; placed under arrest, for manslaughter once the authorities have gone through the death certificates where coproxamol is recorded on those certificates. It will take just one person to have committes suicide because of the failed MHRA coproxamol ban and Breckenridge will be looking at far worse than the utterly discredited Professor Sir Roy Meadows who was struck off by the GMC.

Arrests ! Aye right. What’s good for the goose, and those at MHRA Towers will eventually realise what the cold steel of a pair of handcuffs feel like.

As for their policy working to reduce suicides by coproxamol. Government figures just out show coproxamol suicides appear to have gone up since the MHRA ban.

  43. Chris says:

Andrea, i have not had any e-mail dealings with them since change of name, but the last time they replied to me the address was, pharma2u
@gmail.com probably using medica2u before the gmail.com bit now.

  44. Andrea says:

    Okay Chris, Thank You.
The one I had was admin@pharma2u.com which I did try but I have just had it returned to me with unknown address?!
I will try sending to the gmail one.

  45. Anne Tay says:

Hi Chris ,hows you ?no news of what’s going on ..?

  46. Chris says:

Hi Anne, no good news to report, if Andrea does not get an answer to her e-mail to medica2u i will have a go myself at ordering this week end.You seem to be more cheerful since your holiday away from this forum, are you taking an extra 1 dg per day, lol, Chris.

  47. Anne Tay says:
