Co-proxamol

Interesting to see today that the painkiller co-proxamol is to be scrapped. Apparently it’s been linked with up to 400 deaths per year and a study found it was the second biggest method of drug-related suicide in the UK, accounting for almost one in five deaths.

I’ve used co-proxamol before, and I can see why it’s easy to overdose on, either intentionally or accidentally. It’s a seriously heavy gun in the world of painkillers, and while it’s sad to see something so effective be withdrawn from the market, I can understand the reasons why it’s necessary to do so.

Hi anne and chris. Whats it like working for Pharma2U??? I placed an order on the 7th November and waited due to the supposed stock problem but thinking you were right placed another on the 26th NOvember. What a stupid fool I am. £80 out of pocket and 6 BS emails from jane and co and still no products, even though it was supposedly sent by First Class recorded. If my roduct appears I will post my apology, but if it doesnt (which Im sure it wont) then you should be ashamed of yourselves taking money off people in real pain. I swear I will either find out who you are or pay for a website to shut you down. Like I say, if I get the Distalgesic I have paid for I will post for other sufferers but if you don’t see any post then NEVER BUY from PHARMA2U!!

  2. chris says:

Hi Mike, Firstly i don’t work for Pharma2u, but i can tell you are trying to get a response from me from your tone. Secondly you will not put me off from buying from them. I have ordered DG from them
about 15 times with no losses. I have seen the information regarding the shortages but has it not
affected me todate. I have also just ordered but on the 27th Nov, you’r being a tad optimistic
if you think the second item should have arrived, they have been sent from Cyprus and the quickest time i have received them is 6 days and quite often 10 days. I think some of your comments should be aimed at p2u than here. Patience.

  3. mike says:

Thanks Chris for your predictable reply.
So its now 24 days since my first order and 5 since my second and £80 has gone but NO Distalgesic!!. Now they claim they have sent the second by 1st Class recorded but there is no record of it!!. Heres some info for all possible isiots like me. The site Pharma2u is run through THE PLANET.COM internet services in the USA and the company Pharma2U is registerd in England under Company Number: 05320822. There are only 2 directors -: RAI, JATINDER SINGH & PUREWAL, BHINDER SINGH. The phone number given is FALSE and BT says it isnt in use. The address is also False and the real address is

[Direct personal info removed for the moment by me, the site owner.]

Now I also have these directors address’s and I will be paying them a visit along with the Fraud squad if no Products appear.
You see Chris or Mr Rai or Mr Purwall whichever you are, I am your worst nightmare. You see I’m retired with too much money and sense and so I will carry out my promise. It is bad anough the Goverment did this too us but I will not stand by and let a couple of Con-men do the same.
Thats all for now Chris……Like I say I’ll post the truth if the products appear but as the emails have not dryed up I doubt it very much.
REMEMBER UNLESS YOU I POST IT HERE DO NOT BUY DISTALGESIC FROM THESE PEOPLE.

  4. Lyle says:

    Mike,

As the site-owner, I’m going to comment out the address details etc. that you’ve provided for the moment.

From a personal perspective, I don’t understand why you would make another order while still waiting for the first one to arrive. But there we go.

I hope your distalgesic etc. do appear.

    Lyle

  5. mike says:

Sorry Lyle……frustartion got the better of me. The reason I am so mad is that before you do anything on the net you try and take precautions. The only forum where Pharma2u is discussed in detail,as to whther they are reliable, is here and so based upon here is where I decided to go forward. As for the 2nd order…well ur right ..I was really stupid but I dared to hope that maybe I would get the order the 2nd time based on the mere faint hope that the first one was lost in the post. Unfortunately, even though I am still emailing pharma2u daily they refuse to reply and I am left hanging. I’m sure now that the site is a phoney and wanted other sufferes to know not to Order from them. I say again though, I will post directly on here if these orders do turn up but I advise no-one to order from them until I have some definate news. Sorry again for putting you in an awkward position !!

  6. chris says:

Hi Mike, I don’t have any fight with you, and you are not my worst nightmare. I order from 2 sites and they both supply Distalgesic now so if a major problem occurs with P2u i will just carry on getting my requirements from Off-shore. I could have found out more on the company from the Whois domain but i have never had a problem wth them over the last 12months since i started using them. Unlike you i believe my product will arrive, and will post whether they do or don’t. Also i have never had a problem with their e-mail i have had replies back on a Sun evening. Any way i wish you good luck and i hope your items appear. Regards Chris.

  7. mike says:

Chris…I hope andpray you are right. After all, it was ur comments on here that made me beleive I had found the answer to my problems. If it is tru that you are a fellow suffere then you will appreciate what anguish I am going through. If the distalgesic arrives I will post and let people know evn though it is so long now. I have at this moment in time no pain releif and so am in pain whilst waiting for Pharm2u. My problem is ,how can I possibly trust offshore-pharma if I am having too much trouble. Tell me Chris..do you live in the UK? because I do and I was wondering if there was an issue if we are in Different Countries. I would say one last thing..that is that if you are getting your orders with no problems from Pharma2u then you might like to advise them that they are getting a bad press at the moment and should definately answer there critics. I only want what I paid for…you tell me chris..what should I do..my emails go unread and although my money has been taken there is no Distalgesic. There phone number is invalid and you are the only person who seems to be getting any distalgesics. Even you have to think that makes you look like you work for them!!!

  8. chris says:

Hi Mike, I do live in the Uk, Southern England. Have been on DG for 25yrs approx. I think you have no option but to wait it out now and see if any one us gets their item this week. Anne would have given us some feed back but has just topped up after a trip to Malta. She has waited i think at least 20 days for del and that was to Scotland. I also use Offshore-pharma and also never had a loss from them during the time i have used them 18months. I did lose one order once and they reshipped it free. Customs can snag your order sometimes but usually send on to me after they examin it sometimes 2-3 days delay sometimes up to 10days hence that is why i use both sites and keep 1 box in hand.( and no i don’t work for Offshore either). Keep your fingers crossed mike and certainly if mine is not forth comming, i will e-mail Jane who does get very busy hence Sun replies. Regards Chris

  9. Terry says:

Hi – Just a quick comment re: P2U. I ordered in the middle of last month. I got the emails from Jane re~ stock shortages and as time went by I began to get that sinking feeling. I even sent them (and they will know who I am if theyre reading this) a very nasty email talking about scammers and police. So, when I had to eat humble pie, I did with grace. The tablets all turned up today. One comment is that they seem to be smaller than the ones I get from the doctor and the supplier of them is one Ive never heard of. They do seem to work, but I dont think they are quite as potent as the ones I get on prescription, althogh they claim to be the same strength at 32.5mg . The bottom line is that they work, and they turned up. Lets face it, we all know that these are prescription drugs and the fact that we are buying them from P2U means that a doctor is refusing to prescribe – or as in my case, restricts me to 6 a day. Im worried that Im addicted to these things and I think thats an issue I need to address. But, thats not P2U’s fault – its mine and I chose to order off them. No one forced me. They did deliver and although Jane’s emails do smell like B/S – they are not. P2U is genuine but I reckon the tablets may be under strength – slightly. Will report back when Ive taken a few days worth. I may be wrong, could just be mind over matter etc.

Having said all that, As I know they are reading, thanks P2U for delivering but are these tablets full strength?

  10. Terry says:

Sorry for posting twice but Mike, I just saw your comments re: P2U> Trust me, until today I felt exactly like you did – I was about to go looking for them as well. I hate being ripped off and felt that Id been a real Mug. I know there is no way I can prove to you that I dont work for P2U – but I dont and they did deliver. The tablets seem to be generic and made by a small Pharmaceutical company. I have checked that company out and they have been trading for a number years with no bad vibes on google. I dont want to name them here as they have done nothing wrong and I could jepordise supplies if I did. I hope they have sent your tabs and they turn up soon. I know what youre going through and it isnt nice. I hope this message re-assures you that there is a chance your tabs will turn up and I promise you I am a genuine customer of P2U and do NOT work for them / have anything to do with them. All the best.

  11. Terry says:

Hi, Ok, heres the hat trick. Sorry for posting three in a row – but I felt that I had to share the content of a telephone call I have just had with Jane from P2U. Jane called me as a result of an email I sent to P2U. I was, like Mike above, getting very frustrated with with what I thought was the simple fact that I had been conned. The email I sent to P2U was, shall we say, rather direct to the point!! The day after I sent the email, the tablets arrived. As I said in #260 they seemed under strength – but having taken a few now, I can see I was wrong – they are ok.

During our call Jane explained the delays and also confirmed that she had refunded me, in full, although I had received my tablets. I had not asked for a refund – this was simply a show of good faith from her.

Jane accepted that over the past month or so P2U could have done things differently, like me more up front about supply problems and also suspending sales of Co-Prox whilst out of stock. I found her explainations made sense and were both polite and frank. I got the impression that Jane is someone who does actually care about her customers and quite frankly, you dont get that from blue chip companies these days – let alone an online pharmacy. Yes, they make a profit – but We know the price before we buy and if it wasnt for P2U and the few other genuine companies like them, many of us would be in agony. I found Jane to have one of the best attitudes to a customer I have ever heard, and the full refund (without either being asked for it, or having to do it) speaks volumes.

Now I know that this post will smell, taste and feel like Im a P2U employee but I know I am not. WE all make mistakes, and P2U are no exception but I can say, with absolute and total honesty, they are a GENUINE company, and I very much appreciated the call I got from them.

I will, with total confidence, be buying from them again.

  12. chris says:

Hi Mike, If you are still reading these posts i can inform you that my order of the 27th Nov from Pharma2u arrived today. This was a bit later than usuall. I hope you have received your del.

  13. Russ McLean says:

    Hi Mike,

I really must come to the defence of Pharma2U, and especially Jane Smith. I will post my real name so you can check out that I am not a P2U employee, but someone stricken by the disgraceful UK MHRA bungling of the Coproxamol ban.

I can recommend P2U as legal, decent, honest and truthful as per the UK Advertising Standards mantra. Better than that P2U have saved my bacon, and my health. Jane especially has been an extremely understanding, thoughtful and decent human being.

So PLEASE Mike, no matter how much pain you are in, and no matter how much like Victor Meldrew you feel like moaning, PLEASE accept that P2U are having serious logistic problems. For my part, when the going got tough, P2U was there for me, and then some. So it behoves every one of us that P2U have supported to reciprocate that support.

My sincere hope is the P2U get the new deliveries they need in order to recover their ability to supply ourselves, and Jane, if you are reading this, please keep up the good work. The vast majority of us very much appreciate your work and efforts.

    Very best regards,

    Russ McLean.

P.S. Anne, my apologies for the delay in making progress. I received your letters thankyou very much. Just been physically unable to work at all for the past three months.

  14. sammy says:

hi, i ordered once from Pharmu 2 u with no problems, however this time has been different, five days now, i have emailed them with no response, their phone no is unreachable, terry how did you get in touch with anyone at this company, i dont want to make trouble, i just want what i paid for, anyone got any suggestions
    thanks

  15. sammy says:

Well if anyone has any suggestions on pharmu 2 u i would be grateful, still no joy, does anyone know what is going on with them. my last order was fine and now nothing, are they having problems with their stock

  16. chris says:

Hi sammy, I probably won’t be a lot of help to you, but i don’t expect many people are reading these posts. I can only say from my experience that just recently they have had stock problems, i think mainly with Distalgesic. I have had no problems with them over the last 12 months except for my last order which took 14 days from the 1st week in Dec. I have never had to phone them just e-mail and i have always had a reply from Jane. If your order comes from Cyprus it usually takes 7 to 10 days. Regards, Chris

  17. Derek Poole says:

I’m an 80 year old (almost) and cannot take any other pain killers, this keeps me walking and living actively. How do I get a private prescription? I can’t seem to buy any distalgesic online. It is a disaster

  18. sammy says:

well my order finally arrived, yesterday, by registered post, it took a bit longer then normal but this is the 2nd order ive had and its arrived, hence a little late,

  19. Terry says:

    Hi Sammy,

Sorry its taken a while to answer you. I forgot all about this forum but thought Id take a quick look. It seems to be taking about 7 – 10 days from order to when tablets arrive. I think the main reason is that they are ALL being sent from abroad.

The only way to contact Pharma is by email as their phone number never seems to work. I have found that they do respond and as I have said, Anne is the one you should address your email to. Just put “ATTN ANNE” in the subject line.

Im pleased to see that your order has arrived. I have one outstanding at the moment and Im not overly worried at the moment. I think as long as you know you need to allow around 10 days for delivery, then you should be ok.

I know Anne does read this and other forums, so Anne if you are looking in – It may be an idea just to say on the website that delivery is currently 7 – 10 days due to international posting.

and to answer Derek (267) the ONLY place I know that you can get CoProx online that isnt a scam website is at Pharma4u their website is here: http://pharma2u.com/

This is just advice – You buy at your own risk. They take about 7 – 10 days to deliver, but they do deliver. All the best to you.

  20. MarkB says:

Hi Admin, don’t know if you’ll allow this post, but here goes anyway. I have 4 boxes (400) of co – proxamol that are surplus to requirements. Not sure what theyt go for on Pharma2U but I will take half of that price, plus postage. BB dates are 04/2010 (3 boxes) and 02/2010 (1 box). If anyone wants them send me your details, I’ll send them out recorded and then you can pay me.
    Mark

  21. Chris says:

Hi MarkB. Not sure if this is Legal but i would take them of you, if we can agree i would send e-mail address.

  22. Chris says:

Hi Mark. Thanks for that, e-mail has been sent. pharma2u are having problems with del at present if anyone else would like to know. I have been waiting for 3 weeks.

  23. keith says:

    Hi

First time here and saw some useful info. I too need to take co-prox but I’ve never ordered online and a bit wary. If anybody can help, surplus stock etc (like previous mails) or known genuine supplier please let me know. auzj21 at dsl.pipex.com

  24. Avril says:

I put an order in to pharma2u on 21 Feb but I just tried to look at their site to try and check on it and their web site has disappeared.
Has anyone been in touch with them lately?

  25. Chris says:

Hi Avril, It looks like p2u has problems, it seems they have had a raid by investigators and equipment has been removed. Do a search on them in google and the Drugbuyers freeboard forum. It dosn’t look good for them at the moment. Back to Offshore for me for now. It does not look as if they will be back.

  26. Andrea says:

    Hi
As a regular customer of Parma2u, I am horrified at the latest bust!!
I have never ordered anywhere else before and went to check out Offshore, but I can’t find co-prox/distalgesic/darvocet anywhere on their site?!?! HELP?!?
Have they possibly taken them off?
    Anyone ordered from anywhere else?
Also, I read on Drugbuyers that as from 13th April, it is illegal to purchase any drugs online?! What on earth is happening here?!
Chris, are you still able to buy from Offshore?

  27. Chris says:

Hi Andrea, i am not sure about the implications of the 13th April, will have to wait and see. Offshore keep removing this item but then appears again afew days later, its got something to do with Visa purchases.
Sometimes i order DG and leave it in my a/c then next time its there to order. They sent me a long link to order this item, i don’t want to put it on here but it does work, E-mail them Andrea for the link, any problems get back to me. Good to hear from you again.

  28. Andrea says:

    Hey Chris 🙂
Good to hear from you too!
I will email them and ask for the link then, now I know what’s going on. Thank You.
Can you tell me what name they have them under? DG/Co-prox or Darvocet?
Also, roughly, how long do you find their delivery normally takes?
    Many Thanks!:)
    Take Care

  29. Chris says:

Andrea, they are usually darvocet/Distagesic. They have been supplying Distalgesic. If you have not ordered from them before try their sister site (Matrix Medical Plus) the link to them is on Offshores front page, the item is listed there today at least. Delivery varies, Customs nearly always open them. Can take 8 days to 3 weeks +. Free reship for lost items usually.I have never used MMP before. Good luck,, let us know how you get on. Chris.

  30. Andrea says:

    Hey Chris
Checked Offshore again first before attempting sister site and they are listed today. I did email them but as yet, they haven’t replied. Anyway, after finding them listed now, I ordered this morning. Many Thanks for your help. I will let you know how I get on.
    Andrea.

  31. Avril says:

    Hi all,
I couldn’t find Distalgesic on Offshore either but they’re listed at Matrix Medical Plus….but they only seem to take payment via a miniteller which you have to buy and which takes 6-8 weeks to come! Or am I missing something?
    Avril

  32. Chris says:

The item your looking for Avril is there one day and not the next, Andrea managed to catch the item on wednesday from Offshore. The miniTeller it seems is not available yet except for the USA and Canada.

  33. Andrea says:

Chris………..Whats going on with Pharma2u? Have you heard anything? I have just accessed their site which appears to be up and running again?!?!?!………..BUT………No Distalgesic or Destirol. 🙁 I have emailed Jane/Claire to enquire. Just wondered if you heard anything.
    Hope you are well
    Andrea

  34. Chris says:

Hi Andrea, i am surprised the site is back, not surprised about the DG though. The DG was there a couple of days ago but has been removed. I don’t know anymore than that at the moment. You may find out yourself if you get a reply back from them. Keep us updated, thanks. Chris.

  35. marco says:

helo all i dont know whats going with them if you ook now on the site you can buy 2 strips of co prox for 9 pounds.. i dont know whats going on the owe me a box too.

  36. just to let you all know i think it been sorted now i finally recieved an email from themsaying my order is being sent out tommorow so hope all goes well for you all

  37. Andrea says:

    Hey Marco
Thank You for letting us know. 🙂 The s strips for £9 does seem a bit strange?!
I emailed them at the weekend but no reply yet, which is kind of unlike them.
Oh well, guess I will just have to wait and see.
I sincerely hope they are up and running again!

  38. Andrea says:

    Hi All 🙂
Just wondered how everyone was doing?
Marco did you receive your order?
I see they have a bit on their homepage about waiting until UK authorities are done before they are shipping UK orders. I still haven’t had any word back from them despite emailing them about 5 days ago?!

Chris……..Regarding Offshore. That’s 8 days since i paced that order and every time I check the order status, It still says “pending shipment” Do you know if this is normal?
I don’t find then very “customer friendly” As I emailed them 9 days ago when D/G were not listed and I still have not had a reply?! Then I emailed 3 days ago stating my order status had lay at “shipment pending” for a rather long time?! Still no answer from either?!?
To be on the safe side, I placed an order on P2U on Tuesday but after seeing the little bit written on their page, I guess I will just need to be patient there also?!

    The Joys?!?

  39. Chris says:

Hi Andrea, with Offshore you should have had a confirmation first, then 2 days later you should have had a notice of item shipped date. Your delay time has never happened to me, i have only dealt with them if my order became late and have always found them very helpful.
If you have not already done so E-mail Veripayment, i have done this before and they report the matter to Offshore and they have then responded very quickly. I don’t know about p2u, someone had a note in their package a couple of days ago from p2u stating they are not answering e-mails at present because they have had thousands.
I would also like to order 100 rather than 20 but i don’t see that option at the moment.
Anyway good luck with offshore, that is unusual something is wrong there. Chris.

  40. marco says:

hi andrea i think they are coming from cyprus again at the moment as they said for me to allow 5-7 days a pain i know its allready been 3 weeks at least. untill i got the email … no luck with your emails yet?? mark

  41. Sue says:

Dont know if anyone has mentioned this before, but tramacet is a good alternative to co-prox. I was gutted when they withdrew it until my doctor prescribed tramacet!

  42. Andrea says:

    Hi Marco……..
No, still no order or no email yet?! 🙁
Have you received your order yet?

Chris, I emailed Veripayment but as of yet, no reply from them either?! Whilst searching for an alternative contact email for Offshore, I came across a forum discussing them and their deliveries. One guy had same scenario as mine…….order still showing “pending shipment” 2 weeks later but the replies were saying that they have also had this situation even AFTER their order had been shipped and had a link for Veripayment account info which apparently tells you if and when order is shipped. I followed the link and as far as I can see, it looks like my order placed on 11th was shipped on 13th. So, I guess I will just need to wait and see. Still nothing from P2U.

    Hope you are both well

  43. Andrea says:

    Hi Sue

    Thanks for the info! 🙂
Personally, I find Tramacet too strong and they leave me feeling very dizzy and light headed. :s
May be of use for others though! 😀

  44. Chris says:

Hi Andrea. Good detective work for you find out that info, you should be ok now its been shipped.I have been unable to order this item from them now even though it is listed, looks like a miniTeller is going to be required at some point. As for p2u no idea whats happening there, can’t order from them either, its all going tits up. But i will be keeping tabs on them, (pardon the tabs pun there) anyway good luck. Chris

  45. pill popper says:

hi the lady looking for me can email me on star4.5@hotmail.com

  46. Chris says:

Veripayment are no longer processing payments for Offshore-Pharma. Matrix seem only to accept miniTeller, i have asked about using a debit card. No reply. There does not seem to be a way of ordering DG unless P2u comes back on line. If anybody knows anything different, would be glad to hear about it.

  47. marco says:

hello chris , andrea and all i finally recived my order off p2u yesterday ..they put in 20 extra pills for the inconvience i look at the site today and its offline under matenence they will be back on line shortly they have bin off line like this before in the past a pain i know hope and sure you wil get somthing soon mark

  48. Chris says:

Hi marco, thanks for the info, yes they have been offline 5 days, but when i see maintenance i think it covers maybe a bigger problem, they could have at least put up a notice saying they would be offline for a few days, check back later message is not very customer helpful. But as you say they have been offline before so we will see. Thanks, Chris.

  49. marco says:

i know im in two minds wheather or not to order again
