Anti-Spam fuckup

Well, Spam-Karma was an interesting experiment, but ultimately flawed. Possibly because I’m still “only” on WP1.2 instead of the nightly 1.5 and so on, I’ve discovered that once SK had decided a comment was Spam, there appears to be no way to get it back. And frankly, that’s shite.

My apologies to Anni and Gordon (and at least one other contributor) whose comments were nicked by SK and shoved into some weird ether database. If I can recover the comments then I will, but for now, ’til I figure out what the fuck it’s doing, SK has been killed off.

It’s a pain, because it was doing a nice job on the other stuff…

    Accepted.

Which is just as well as I thought I’d said something to upset you – bit of weird message it gives as well, not exactly HELPFUL…

  2. Lyle says:

Sorry, Gordon. I’m not sure what you said that upset it so, but something obviously happened, which is the main reason I’ve binned it now.

Unless I missed something relevant, the “no false negatives” line was utter bollocks, and there was also no visible way to recover posts that’d been placed in “hell”. Grrr.
